Chinese Tricone Guitar

Strings: What ever it came with -- they advertised that it comes with C.F. Martin Strings.

Yes, we know it looks like a National Tricone.

Yes, we know it sounds like a National Tricone.

Yes, it has a nickel plated bell brass body and 3 spun aluminum resonator cones. The soldering is sloppy; one of these days Mike will track down the rattles and fix 'em.

But its Chinese. From China. Probably from a factory that used to make airplanes and missiles. We don't know. Mike foolishly thought that it was made in Czechoslovakia when he bought in on the internet. But it's still Chinese.

Mike played this guitar in Open E tuning on "Back Door Man" and "Smokestack Lightnin'". It was in Open A for "Crawlin' Kingsnake". Heavy Glass Slides work best with this beast from the east.

Mike's got no idea how to mike this thing to play live.
